The restaurant is really tasty “BUT” super super super expensive. Not even justified. 200 pounds for 2 chelo kabab/humus/bamya/mutabal and 2 colas. Any other Iranian restaurant that would not even reach 50 pounds.

The price is extremely high as the kobideh kebab price should be around £10-£25 max I don’t get why it should be £50 per dish , also the staff are extremely rude .

I had the pleasure of dining at Iran Restaurant in Mayfair, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the warm, inviting atmosphere that perfectly balances Persian elegance with contemporary sophistication. The food was nothing short of sensational. Every dish was a masterpiece—rich in flavor, beautifully balanced, and prepared with the finest ingredients. From the melt-in-your-mouth kebabs to the fragrant saffron rice, each bite transported me straight to the heart of Iran. A special mention goes to Ramez, our attentive waiter, who ensured that we were well taken care of throughout our meal. His warm hospitality, thoughtful recommendations, and genuine care elevated the experience even further, making us feel like cherished guests. If you’re looking for authentic Persian cuisine in London paired with outstanding service, Iran Restaurant is a must-visit. I will definitely be returning soon!

I had the pleasure of enjoying an Iranian lunch, and it was an incredible experience! The highlight for me was the clean and delicious chicken kebab—it was my first time trying this flavor, and I absolutely loved it. The rich seasoning, tender texture, and perfect grilling made it unforgettable. Iranian cuisine truly offers a unique and delightful culinary experience!

Located in a quieter, pedestrianized part of Mayfair, Iran Restaurant is easily accessible from Green Park Tube station. The outdoor seating is a far better option than the somewhat cramped indoor space, offering a more pleasant dining experience. Tables are covered with red cloth and topped with glass, adding a traditional touch. As expected for Mayfair, prices are on the higher side”starters cost £12.50-£15, while mains are around £50 or £80 for two. We started with baba ganoush and mirza ghasemi (a smoky aubergine and tomato dish with egg and herbs). Both were excellent, especially paired with the crisp flatbread. However, the Shirazi salad (cucumber, tomato, and onion) was average”fresh but unremarkable. For mains, the mixed grill kebab platter was underwhelming. The marinated minced lamb and chicken were dry, and the meat quality didn’t quite justify the price. The lamb fillet was the best part of the dish. We originally ordered the chicken in walnut and pomegranate sauce, but they were out, so we went with the saffron chicken with pomegranate rice instead. Thankfully, it turned out to be excellent”flavourful and well-balanced. Service started off a bit tense, but after ordering, the staff warmed up. By the end of the meal, they even served complimentary Iranian tea, which was a nice touch. Overall, while some dishes impressed, the inconsistent food quality and service made it a mixed experience, pleasant enough but not quite worth the high prices.

I was truly impressed by the quality of the meat; it was incredibly tender and practically melted in my mouth! However, the prices are quite steep—£50 for a mixed grill, which typically ranges from £14 to £18 at comparable restaurants across London. While the standards here are indeed higher than what's offered on Edgware Road, I find it hard to justify a price that's 2.5 times higher. Quality often comes at a premium, and I fully appreciate that, but a 2.5x markup for food that's only about 30% better than the competition feels excessive.

Have tried couple of Irani restaurants, but this one has the most amazing authentic food to offer. Meat was cooked at Perfect temperature and was beautifully presented. Their cheff has magic in his hands.

Extremely Rude and Disrespectful Owner – Avoid This Place! I had an absolutely terrible experience at this restaurant. The owner is shockingly rude and has zero respect for customers. From the moment I walked in, I felt unwelcome. Instead of providing good service, the owner acted arrogantly, spoke in a condescending manner, and showed no interest in making customers feel comfortable. The way they treat paying customers is unacceptable. If you expect basic respect and decent service, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. There are plenty of other Persian restaurants in London where they actually appreciate their customers. Avoid this place at all costs!
